The England captain had to come off in the 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen last weekend after appearing to hurt his ankle. Speaking to the media ahead of the match, Kompany said: "I think you have seen Harry was on the pitch today, that went well but we will still have to wait until tomorrow and see how the situation is and then we will make the correct decision. He trained with us today and hopefully everything will work out fine."

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Kane has already bagged 10 goals in seven appearances this season and will be desperate to feature on his return to England. The 31-year-old is still yet to win any major silverware in his career and the Champions League will be at the top of his wishlist in 2025, but Bayern are much less likely to get to the latter stages without him on the pitch.
