reported on Friday that Atletico Madrid are being considered the favourites to sign Argentina international Alvarez as the Spanish side look to replace Alvaro Morata, who left for AC Milan earlier this summer. Now, though, it appears that Arsenal have joined the race to sign the 24-year-old.

Indeed, the states that the young forward could move to north London from Manchester as the Gunners look to bolster their attack. The report further claims that the reigning Premier League champions are expected to demand a transfer fee in the region of £80 million ($102m), and it remains to be seen if Mikel Arteta is willing to spend that much.
