The Red Devils are being backed to give Gabriel his first-team debut in a cup competition next season after seeing the youngster star for the Under-18s, according to . The teenager already has a boot deal with Nike and could make history if he does feature as he does not turn 15 until October. David Gaskell currently hold the record as United's youngster ever player after featuring for the Red Devils back in 1956 at the age of 16 years and 19 days.

Gabriel has already caught the eye at United. He bagged a brace on his debut for the Under-18s in a 13-1 demolition of Leeds United back in April. Amorim has already been willing to give chances to youngster this season, handing exciting talent such as Chido Obi, Ayden Heaven, Harry Amass first-team minutes at Old Trafford.
